This bedside chest is tour de force… the item has many featured materials and types of workmanship that you will be proud to live with and show others. The case itself is made from mahogany then it is finished in a silver leaf. Then covered in hand made Viennese mirror cut to fit the openings perfectly. Lastly the hardware is made using the lost wax casting process then polished to perfection then silvered then applied to the case. So the entire outside of the chest is covered in 3 different shades of silver all complimenting each other to make this memorable piece. This is a work of art made individually by hand. This nice bunching table is hand woven in Thailand from Water Hyacinth. Water Hyacinth is an aqua plant that grows in the slow moving rivers of Thailand. This plant grows so quickly and is so abundant that it is considered hyper-sustainable. The plants are harvested from the river and allowed to dry naturally. Then craftsmen weave these strands into this small table. As you can see in the pictures the weave is tight and strong making a sturdy and useful stool or table.
