In their constant search for new colors and decorative options, Lladro artists have surprised us once again with the use of iridescent metal. Iridescence, a phenomenon by which light varies depending on the place from which we observe, is particularly enhanced when applied on porcelain.

Hanuman, the monkey god and faithful companion, together with Rama, Sita and Lakshman make up the four characters of Rama Darbar, which represents the ideal of the happy family. Hanuman is shown wearing a helmet, denoting his divine origin, in a posture of adoration towards Rama. Handcrafted in matte white porcelain, golden luster was chosen for the decoration, standing out against the white background and enhancing the sculptural and ornamental work of the piece.

Lladró artists have chosen coral red and golden luster for the ornamentation of this exuberant macaw handcrafted in porcelain.

A sake set comprising a bottle and two cups in porcelain is now being added to the Koi collection, a series of table accessories inspired by the world's most highly appreciated ornamental fish, a symbol of love and friendship. Since time immemorial, hand gestures have been a language in their own right. Their expressiveness and symbolism have made them a method of communication. On this occasion, our artists have focused on the language of mudras, gestures that arrived to yoga and meditation from Hinduism or Buddhism. For the former, there is a total of 24 mudras, one for each hour of the day, with each one having its own different benefits. For the latter, they are gestures that predispose the body for meditation and help them to concentrate. Protection Mudra is inspired by these age-old gestures and is depicted as a raised hand with the palm facing outward. In this particular version, the hand is decorated with minutely etched plant motifs intertwined with the fingers, and with a porcelain flower on the thumb, as if it were a part of the pattern that had come to life. Various shades of golden luster were used in the decoration, sometimes with a matte finish, other times glazed. Meanwhile, the flower, handmade petal by petal, is in a tone somewhere between yellow, pink and a subtle golden sparkle.

On one hand, the floral patterns etched on the woman's dress or the beads in her necklace and the flowers in her hair, handmade, bead by bead and petal by petal. On the other hand, the successful color combination of the black tuxedo and the mauve dress. The love between Radha and Krishna has given rise to some wonderful fables and their story is an important part of major Hindu celebrations like Jhulan Yatra, the festival of swings. After the summer heat, when the clouds float high in the sky, the Brajwasi celebrate the arrival of the first rains. With the onset of monsoon season, ponds and lakes fill with rainwater, lotus flowers blossom, the air is scented with a pleasant fragrance and the forests of Vrindavan are decorated with wonderful jhula, like the one on which Radha and Krishna swing in this High Porcelain creation. Following tradition, the swing is finely decorated with many flowers which, like the garland worn by Krishna, have all been handmade one by one, with over 200 petals. The costumes worn by Radha and Krishna signify their spiritual importance and Lladró artists have recreated them in minute detail. From the jewelry, etched by hand and decorated with golden and copper luster, to the embroidery of the fabrics or the decoration applied by hand combining deep rich colors like orange and blue. Radha Krishna on a Swing is a creation that seems to float in the air, suspended over a wood base.
