Inspired by Schlemmer's "Triadisches Ballett", our figurines take Schlemmer's avant-garde aesthetic and the idea of man as machine and shows the heart behind our human impulses. This highly stylized collection illustrates the Bauhaus ethos and displays the human body as abstract art. The play on Schlemmer's fantastic costuming is seen here in each piece. From the mind and imagination of George Sellers, our in-house sculpture and design director and a mound of clay comes a carved original model of this reclining lion. The original was then cast in plaster and sent to a factory in Italy to be produced in a terracotta based ceramic material in the technique Italians call "calco", whereby terracotta ceramic is packed when wet into a detailed mold. Drying over time, the terracotta ceramic pulls away from the wall of the mold and removed to be fired in a 950 degree kiln, then fired a 2nd time after being glazed in our signature antique white glaze. A design trend and direction we believe in as a company is a return to classicism as inspiration for the future of home decor.

Solid Bansawara white marble is hand chiseled and carved into this interesting abstract bust. Not gender specific, up to your individual needs. Attached to a black Bheslana Marble base.

The Wing Sculptures are crafted using an ancient Japanese form of firing called "Raku." Raku ware is characterized by beautifully crackled or metallic glazed surfaces as well as blackened unglazed surfaces, both of which are the result of the unique low-firing technique.
